Civic Duty or Time Off? Employers & Voting Leave in Focus (Part 2)

Last week, we shared a snapshot of key state voting leave requirements. This week, we’re focusing on what employers can do now to stay compliant:

  • Audit your policies — check whether your state(s) have voting leave requirements.
  • Communicate early — remind employees of their rights and post required notices.
  • Train managers — make sure leadership knows how to handle requests.
  • Document decisions — keep records of requests and approvals to show compliance.

Supporting civic duty while staying compliant is a win-win.
